
- I will never place the value of winning before the safety and welfare of all players
- I will always show respect for everyone and lead by example, always demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship
- The coach shall not participate in negative recruiting against another coach, institution, or its players. Derogatory statements toward other coaches, players, or schools are considered unethical.
- I will not tolerate inappropriate behavior, regardless of the situation.
- I will never knowingly jeopardize the eligibility and participation of a student-athlete
- Coaches and volunteers shall not engage in, or permit, profanity, vulgarities, obscene gestures, trash talking, taunting, boastful celebration, or other actions that demean individuals, or the sport of baseball, or reflect badly on the team and institution.
- I know that coaching is motivating players to produce their best effort, inspiring players to learn, and encouraging players to be winners.
- I will maintain my actions in the spirit of “good sportsmanship” at all times. Profanity, profane gestures, arguing, inciting disruptive behavior by spectators and/or players, or any conduct not in the spirit of good sportsmanship, shall require disciplinary action from Hiland Park Board of Directors on a case-by-case basis.
- Alcohol, illegal drugs and unauthorized prescription drugs shall not be possessed, consumed or distributed before, during or after any game or at any other time at the field and/or game complex.
- Hiland Park Sports, Inc. has a “zero tolerance” policy for any aggressive or inappropriate physical or verbal harassment with any player, coach, umpire, parent, fan or other person and any breach of this rule is grounds for immediate action, including removal from the position of Coach, Manager, or Board Member.
- Failure to comply may result in the suspension of your privilege to participate in Hiland Park sanctioned events, each incident will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis with the minimum penalty for the following periods:
- 1st offense – suspension for a minimum of one (1) game
- 2nd offense – suspension for a minimum of one (1) season
- 3rd offense – suspension for a minimum of one (1) year
